| Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer is making huge strides in support of breast cancer research, treatment and education. With one more event left this year, there’s still time to join the fight. |
| Women who eat more of the right plant-based foods could cut their risk of ovarian cancer in half. Recent research out of Italy shows that isoflavones, which are found in tea and soy-based foods, can reduce ovarian cancer risk by up to 49 percent, depending on the amount eaten. Isoflavonols, found in many fruits and vegetables, can reduce risk of the disease by as much as 37 percent. Suddenly, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” carries a little more weight. More information about ovarian cancer is available online. |
